In the South Bay I think your best public courses are Cinnabar Hills, Coyote Creek (Tournament), Eagle Ridge and San Juan Oaks. In terms of quality of course and price range they are all in a similar category. we are putting Cinnabar Hills in the "GolfPage Favorites" category because the setting up in the hills with all the trees gives the venue that "wow" feeling.

Cinnabar Hills generally has their year round deals which are pretty good. You can also find additional deals on a discounted online tee time service like GolfNow. If you want to play this course a lot a nice deal is to join up for their Hawk Program for $295 per quarter (3 months) and you can take advantage of their Early Morning special at 50% off and play for $30 -$40 w/ cart before 9am, Mon – Fri.
